Like any traditional Andalusian city, Marbella celebrates the relationship between the ancient and the new. Transportation There are plenty of options if you don't feel like driving. The best way to move around the major points of Costa del Sol is by using the commuter train, which has two lines. The one that can suit you best is called C-1, connecting stations from Málaga to Fuengirola. A new mobility project is the metro, already with two lines and with another one under construction. It can take you to well-known places like the University of Málaga and Carretera de Cádiz.
Weather This particular zone was previously called Costa del Viento (windy coast in English) as the wind blows constantly throughout the year. Airport Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport is located in the Churriana district of Málaga, 12 km southeast from the city centre and it was founded on September 1st 1919, making it the oldest airport in Spain and one of the oldest in Europe.
